These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Roven mobile application and website (joinroven.co.uk), operated by Roven ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using Roven, you agree to these Terms.
Roven is a community platform that connects people through real-life social events and partner venues in London. Members can discover events, join activities, connect with others, and access exclusive venue offers depending on their membership plan.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Roven. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts belonging to users who do not meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it. Please use a strong password and do not share your login credentials. Notify us immediately at hello@joinroven.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Roven offers the following membership tiers:
Subscriptions purchased in the Roven mobile app are processed by Apple through your App Store account and are billed monthly, renewing automatically until cancelled. We never see or store your payment details.
Where a free trial is offered, it is applied by Apple at the point of purchase and is available once per Apple Account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid monthly subscription at the price shown above.
You may cancel your subscription at any time in your device settings, under your Apple Account subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for unused time. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
Roven has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to use Roven to:

Roven includes a community feed and member profiles where users can post content. You are responsible for anything you post, and you must hold the rights to any content you share.
Every post and member profile in the app includes a menu allowing you to report content you believe breaks these rules, and to block any member. Blocking is mutual and takes effect immediately — once you block someone, neither of you will see the other's content.
We review every report within 24 hours. Content found to break these rules is removed, and accounts responsible for objectionable content or abusive behaviour are removed from the platform.

Roven facilitates connections between hosts and attendees. We are not responsible for the organisation, safety, or outcome of any event created on the platform. Hosts are solely responsible for the events they organise. Attendees participate at their own risk.

Venues listed on Roven are independent businesses. Roven does not guarantee the accuracy of venue information, availability, or offers. Any disputes with a venue should be resolved directly with that venue.
A portion of paid subscription revenue is contributed to Roven's charity pot, which is distributed among our partner charities. The exact percentage and distribution are at Roven's discretion and may change over time.
All content, branding, and code within the Roven app and website are owned by Roven unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
By submitting content to Roven (such as profile photos or event descriptions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roven is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Roven after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
